Halloween is here, and I thought it would be so much fun to do a last minute, 4 step easy nail art for you guys! Of course if you're in a rush, or just a lazy girl, then you can do it in only 2 steps! (How great is that?!) Just click to read more to see how I done this cool bloody nail art.
You will need a base coat, red nail varnish, black or white nail varnish for the background and a top coat.
I have used a clear base & top coat by Sally Hansen, £4.95. You can find this at any drugstore. It's very useful as it is 2in1.
Step 1: (You can skip this step if you're in a rush or just being a lazy girl, knowing you will have to wash it off once the holiday's over.) - Shape your nails to the shape you want to with a nail file and apply the base coat.
Step 2: Apply background colour. I have used black, but I am very positive it would look amazing with white too! This black nail polish is by Max Factor, £4.99, called, 'Lacquer Noir'.
Step 3: Now it's time to do the fun part! Gently make small straight-ish strokes from the middle of the nail, to the direction you want the blood to be dripping from: I have done two options above, one is where the blood is running from my nail beds, and the second is where the blood is running from the end of your nails. Make sure the sizes of the drops are all different on one nail, so it looks more realistic. If you want you can place little dots as blood drops.
Red nail polish is by Max Factor, £4.99 called, 'Red Carpet Glam'.
It is actually very easy to do, can get a little messy, but the main important thing is to have fun with it. If you go outside the lines, that's fine! Just dip some cotton buds into nail varnish remover and take off the access from around the nails.
Step 4: (You can skip this step if you're in a rush or just being a lazy girl, knowing you will have to wash it off once the holiday's over.) - The last bit is just to finish it off with the top coat.
